Inclusion Policy: Diversity and Disability
The School of Unusual Life Learning (SoULL) strives to provide a rich learning environment, conducive to developing a healthy, diverse community. We are committed to providing high quality culturally sensitive education affirming the dignity, worth and value of all individuals regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, disabilities or socioeconomic status. We further strive to cultivate an atmosphere of openness and trust wherein differences are explored with the support of our teaching, which focuses profoundly on what is universal to being human: the arc of our human development.
SoULL will ensure that persons with disabilities who would like to attend are provided reasonable accomodations. Should you require such accommodations, please inform us at the time of your application.
General Payment and Refund Policies
Tuition, room, board and commuter payments are requested two weeks before program or module start dates in full. (Alternate payment arrangements will be considered on a case by case basis upon request).
Payments are made in the following ways:

In cash: Pay in person
Bank Transfers are not generally done but can be accommodated if necessary.
Refund Policy for Pilgrim SoULL:
Tuition Deposits are non-refundable.
Tuition expenses minus deposit are refundable as follows:
100% up to 14 days before class beginning
75% 14 days before program start to program start date. 50% Program start to beginning to two weeks before second module. Non-refundable after beginning of second module.
Tuition, room, board and commuter payments are requested in full two weeks before the program or module start dates.
Alternate payment arrangements are considered on a case by case basis upon request.
Refund Policy for Indiviual Modules
Tuition expenses for individual modules are refundable minus deposit as follows:
100% up to 14 days before module beginning 50% 14 days before module start to start date. Non refundable after start date.
Refund Policy for SoULL Years 2 and 3
Tuition expenses for Years 2 and 3 are refundable minus deposit as follows:
100% up to 30 days before program start 50% 30 days before program start to 60 days into the program. Non-refundable after 60 days from program start.
Room and Board Expenses are 100% refundable up to one week prior to your module weekend.
Grievance Policy
SoULL assures accountability in all aspects of its service delivery. Feedback is welcomed. We have a commitment to address grievances we receive in a timely manner.
Complaints about course content, speakers, facilities, non-receipt of certificates for CEU’s and any other matter are forwarded to the Social Work Consultant, who after consultation with the SoULL team, will address the complaint within two calendar weeks.
A record of all grievance reports, complaints and actions taken is maintained by the Social Work Consultant and included in the annual review of programming.
The SoULL refund policy is clearly posted on our website (above). Requests for refunds are honored as noted in that policy. Exceptions are made for undue hardship on a case by case basis.
